1. Company Information

These terms and conditions govern the provision of building and refurbishment services by PROFESSIONAL REFURB, GAS AND HEATING LIMITED (Company No: 13299913), trading as LEVELON Building & Refurbishment ("the Company", "we", "our", "us").

2. Quotations and Estimates

• All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Quotations are based on the information provided and a visual inspection of the property.
• Any additional work discovered during the project may incur additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding.
• Written acceptance of a quotation constitutes a binding agreement.

3. Payment Terms

• For projects under £5,000: 50% deposit upon acceptance, balance upon completion.
• For projects over £5,000: Stage payments as agreed in writing.
• Payment is due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed.
• We accept bank transfer, cheque, and major credit/debit cards.
• Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

4. Project Timelines

• Start dates and completion estimates are provided in good faith but may be affected by unforeseen circumstances.
• Delays caused by material availability, weather, or client-requested changes may extend timelines.
• We will communicate any significant delays promptly.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

• Provide accurate information about the property and requirements
• Ensure safe access to the work area
• Obtain necessary planning permissions and building regulations approval (unless agreed otherwise)
• Inform us of any known hazards (asbestos, structural issues, etc.)
• Make timely decisions regarding materials and design choices

6. Our Responsibilities

We agree to:

• Carry out work with reasonable care and skill
• Use materials of satisfactory quality unless otherwise specified
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Keep the work area reasonably clean and tidy
• Comply with all relevant building regulations and standards

7. Warranty

• All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
• Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and products as per their terms.
• The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party work.
• Warranty claims must be reported promptly in writing.

8. Variations and Additional Work

• Any variations to the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing.
• Additional work will be charged at agreed rates or day rates.
• Significant variations may affect project timelines.

9. Cancellation

• Cancellation before work commences: deposit may be retained to cover administrative costs and materials ordered.
• Cancellation during the project: payment for all work completed and materials ordered.
• We reserve the right to terminate if payment terms are not met.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the contract. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through negotiation. If unsuccessful, disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration before court proceedings.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law, and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
